Summer Educational and Rehabilitation Camps for
Children from Zones of Environmental Disasters

Such camps have been held annually since 1995.

Locations: health resort camps “Serebryanye klyuchi”, “Cooperator”, “Isloch” and “Neman”, rehabilitation camps “Yubileynyi” and Svitanok“, the children's rehabilitation and health center “Lesnaya Polyana” (1995-2016).

32 sessions were held for that period. 6763 children from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine got:

• Individual and detailed medical examination before and after a session;
• A 24-day medical and rehabilitation course;
• Educational programmes on ecology, culture, history; 
• Ecological and cultural expeditions and excursions;
• Sports and game events.

In 2005, the programme of the Green Cross Belarus NGO got the National ecological award “ECOWORLD-2005” in the nomination “Ecology and Health” which was established by the State Duma of Russia and the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
