The 2nd open competition of the project «School Garden» started

49 educational institutions take part in the 2nd open competition among the rural schools of Vitebsk, Gomel and Minsk regions of the Republic of Belarus, the «School Garden» as an educational platform for modern safe agricultural technologies».

The competition began on April 25 and will end on November 10, 2019. During this period, participants will provide information about their activities at school gardens: a photo report about the spring sowing campaign, photos of the garden for six months, the results of research and educational work, success stories of schoolchildren and school teams, the economic effect, the number of schoolchildren, parents, and sponsors involved.

During the autumn holidays, there will be the two-day conference, where school representatives will exchange experiences, present the results of the season and the development plan for the next year. In the end of the Conference there will be Summing up and rewarding of the winners.

Winning schools will receive a set of information stands, educational materials, equipment, agricultural tools, seedlings, seeds for the development of the school garden, taking into account the development plan for the 2019-2020 academic year, as well as the opportunity to become regional educational gardens on modern safe agricultural technologies.

The competition is held within the framework of the EU4Youth international technical assistance project: «School garden» for the development of agricultural entrepreneurship, funded by the European Union and co-financed by the International Green Cross.
