Overview of the project "In My Homeland" - 2020

One more year of the International art project "In My Homeland" has ended. Young artists from 26 countries all over the world took part at the 15th Art and Graphics Contest, beginner animators from 5 countries sent their works for the 5th Cartoon and Film-Strip Contest. From September 2019 to January 2020 the project team recieved and processed 10 612 pictures, 146 cartoons and 13 film-strips.

At the end of January contest jury boards, which included professional artists, teachers, art historians, animators and Directors from Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia and Ukraine, determined the winners, laureates and diploma winners of the contests.

About the work of the jury of the 5th International Cartoon and Film-Strip Contest, we also shot a small story, which included a cartoon that won the Grand Prix of this year's contest.

In the first days of February, artists-teachers from Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine gathered in the GCB center "Ecology and health" to discuss topical issues of contemporary art education for children and youth and exchange experience. How the conference was held in our photo report.

During the conference 8 mini-exhibitions were presented/ They were selected by experts from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Poland, Lithuania, Romania and China. What was the experiment and what criteria were used for selection in the video.

During February and March the project team processed the results of the jury's work and on March 20 the names of 1,472 medalists, laureates, diploma holders and those who were rewarded with Thank-You Letters appeared on our websites:

From April 6 to 25, the final exhibition of the contest will be held at the gallery "University of culture" in Minsk. It will include 8 mini-exhibitions selected by experts. Unfortunately, due to the current epidemiological situation, the Grand opening and awarding of winners will not be held. All the awards will be sent by post.
