The Non-governmental Organization “Green Cross Belarus” in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus supported by the International Art Public Organization (IAPO) “Union of Artists-Teachers” announces the 16th International Contest of Art and Graphics “In My Homeland”

The current situation in the world is forcing most people in many countries to change their customary way of life. In the near future we are likely to postpone our travel plans, to keep social distance and, consequently, spend weekends and holidays close to home surrounded by immediate family only. However, these restrictions provide us with an opportunity to pay attention to things around us that we never used to notice, to do things we never used to have time for or just to dream. Now we can unhurriedly look around and discover themes, ideas and objects for creative activity right near us: in small towns, suburbs and villages, i.e. wherever we happen to be staying at the moment. But the big lesson we must learn from this experience is appreciate our relatives and friends, understand how important and valuable live communication is for us all.

You are offered three topics to choose from:

“In My Homeland” is a traditional free topic of the Contest.

“In the Garden and in the Kitchen Garden”

“A Trip Outside My Village”

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST:

1/ The age of participants ranges FROM 5 UP TO AND INCLUDING 18 YEARS.

2/ The work has to be CREATIVE and INDIVIDUAL made DURING THE YEAR OF THE CONTEST.

3/ The work may be of ANY SIZE; do not put it in a frame nor passe partout. A REGISTRATION FORM is attached to the back side of each work. (The registration form has to be filled in a print format).

4/ Works submitted for the Contest are not reviewed and ARE NOT TO BE RETURNED to their authors. The Organizers retain the right to reproduce them in order to promote and develop the Contest, to use in methodical and charity activities without the author's consent and without an author’s fee.

ADMISSION OF WORKS STARTS ON OCTOBER 1 AND LASTS UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 2020.

(Provided postal address is complete. The works are picked up directly from the post office by the organizers)

We ask all the participants to use the services of REGULAR or EMS post. DO NOT INDICATE the value (price) of the goods on parcels.

RESULTS OF THE CONTEST:

The jury is going to consider the works in February 2021 and determine prize and diploma winners. Works of prize winners will be included into the final exhibition and will become available in the electronic gallery on the Contest’s website www.children-art.org.

The 16^th INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF ART AND GRAPHICS “IN MY HOMELAND” is to be opened in April 2021 in Minsk.
