Overview of some works in the collage technique applied to the International Contest "In My Homeland – 2023"
In 2022-2023, one of the techniques proposed in contest terms was collage. For a closer acquaintance with this technique in the summer of 2022, two workshops were organised at the centre "Ecology and Healt" of Green Cross Belarus - Collage: Fruit and Vegetable Gardens and workshop with Marina Kapilova.
In art schools, the offer to try hand in this technique was received with interest. As a result, about 400 collages were applied to the contest. Some works were awarded by the jury.
Some works, executed in the collage technique, were awarded with special diplomas by the decision of the contest organisers .
The marked works do not always fully meet the criteria with which the main jury approached the works of the competition. Not all of them are distinguished by perfect composition or originality of solution. The main selection criteria in this case was the presence of collage techniques that enhance the figurative expressiveness of the work.
We present to you the comments on some of the contest works in the collage technique, prepared by the experts of the project "In My Homeland".
