On October 27 and 28, 2026, the Khatai Art Center hosted the exhibition “Summer Dreams”, under the slogan “Be closer to nature, capture its amazing beauty!” The exhibition aimed to introduce the younger generation to nature, acquaint them with its amazing beauty in different seasons, and foster an interest in preserving it.

The exhibition featured works dedicated to the summer mood, landscapes, the colors of nature, summer dreams, and memorable moments of summer recreation. In total, more than 900 Azerbaijani and foreign authors aged 8 to 21 presented about 1,300 works.

During the selection, special attention was paid to the relevance of the works to the theme and format of the exhibition. Furthermore, the “one author, one work” principle was applied to curate the exhibition, and even with such a strict approach, more than 600 people were granted the right to participate in the exhibition, including 33 authors from Moldova, 25 from Turkey, 14 from Serbia, 13 from Croatia, 8 from Russia, 3 from Belarus, 3 from Taiwan, 2 from Iran, and 2 from Bulgaria.

The solemn presentation of the works was organized by age categories and took place on each day in two stages — at 12:00 and 16:00. Certificates were awarded to the exhibition participants. Electronic certificates will be sent to foreign participants whose works are included in the catalogue.

The exhibition was organized by the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, the State Picture Gallery of Azerbaijan, the Khatai Children’s Art Gallery, and the Khatai Arts Center, with the support of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts, CJSC “Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting,” the Executive Authority of the Khatai District, and the Union of Artists of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
